Knell Mortuary has been serving Carthage area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

In 1882, Ed Knell started a funeral home on the south side of the Carthage square. His new business was based on the simple principles of hard Knell Mortuary Inc work, personal service, respect, dignity and compassion. Four generations of family, three locations and almost 120 years later, Ed's founding principles are still being practiced as the Knell Mortuary Inc moves into its' third century of serving families in their time of need.

 

The staff, which boasts over 125 years of combined funeral industry service and experience, is here to assist you with one of the most difficult tasks you may ever face---planning the funeral of a loved one. They strive to create meaningful, individualized services for each family because they understand the personal nature of grief and want you to feel secure in your decision to choose them as your Funeral professional.
